26 Miles

  •

From March 16 to April 8, Latino Theatre Projects & Producing Artistic Director Fernando Luna present 26 Miles by Pulitzer Prize-winner Quiara Alegría Hudes. The production is directed by one of Seattle’s leading directors Julie Beckman and features Alma Villegas, Klara Cerris, Fernando Cavallo, and Jeff Allen Pierce. We will be performing at West of Lenin in Fremont. Shows are at 8:00 pm, except on March 25 when we will have a matinee at 2:00 pm.

Olivia has been estranged from her Cuban-American mother for eight years, involuntarily torn apart by a nasty custody dispute. When she finds herself alone, scared and violently throwing up, she calls her mother who impetuously kidnaps the 15 yr old and takes her on a road trip to Yellowstone. In the process, we get to know this beautiful and broken family and the ways each of them has been loved and wounded.
